Highland Medical Center (HMC) is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team! As a Federally Qualified Health Center nestled in the scenic mountains of Highland County, HMC provides quality care close to home — and we’re looking for a financial leader to help strengthen our impact in the community.

The CFO plays a vital role in supporting our mission by ensuring the financial health, sustainability, and strategic growth of our organization. This position oversees all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, audits, reporting, grants management, and long-term planning.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Brings strong experience in financial management and strategic planning.

  • Leads with integrity and compassion, balancing fiscal responsibility with community care.

  • Excels in collaboration, partnering with clinical and administrative teams to drive innovation and results.

  • Uses data analytics and business intelligence to guide smart, evidence-based decisions.

  • Thrives in a mission-driven, community-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks

  • CPA license is a plus

  • Experience with federal grants (preferred)
