Highland Medical Center is located in Monterey, Virginia in the beautiful mountain county of Highland. For over ten years HMC has provided a growing range of health care services to the region.

Every day, our dedicated HMC Team literally touches the lives of children, adults and seniors.

Every week, HMC provides primary care, dental, physical therapy, and counseling services to residents of Highland, Bath, Pendleton, Pocahontas and West Augusta. We accept many insurance plans and uninsured patients pay based on income. Please ask about payment options.

We have seen our community health center take enormous strides forward with the recruitment of a full-time dentist, a part-time dental hygienist, staffing of a new physical therapy/wellness center, and the expansion of our medical team.

The HMC Team is dedicated to improving services and caring for the health of the Highlands, offering primary medical care, dentistry, physical therapy, and a wellness center. In addition, our medications dispensary and mental health and substance abuse counseling provide needed services right here in the Allegheny Highlands.

This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
